Angels on the Battlefield EPK

Epic instrumental metal band Angels on the Battlefield made its live debut at the “This Is My Brave” show in Santa Monica, CA on September 25, 2022. The show consisted of several local Los Angelinos opening up about their personal experiences conquering mental illness. Preceding the band’s performance, guitarist JD McGibney spoke about his experiences overcoming Generalized Anxiety disorder through the power of heavy metal, and how it led to the beginning of the band.

All together, the show was able to raise over $30,000 to be donated to the local mental health organizations Mental Health America of Los Angeles, Pacific Clinics, and Rogers Behavioral Health.

Angels on the Battlefield is composed of JamPlay instructor and ex-Voodoo Kungfu guitarist JD McGibney, ex-Butcher Babies bass player Jason Klein, ex-Voodoo Kungfu drummer William Liermann, and award winning TV composer and keyboardist Chris Wirsig.
